Definitions

For the purposes of this website:

  • "Xenostic" refers to individuals who experience specific parapsychological, neurological, physiological and sensory processing patterns

  • "Neurodiverse" refers to the broader spectrum of neurological variations and conditions

  • "The trifecta" refers to a specific combination of three medical conditions

Xenostic (noun, adj.)

Definition:

A xenostic is an individual who experiences the world through a uniquely transcendent lens, shaped by a profound interplay of neurodivergence, autonomic instability, and an ineffable connection to the intangible. To be xenostic is to embody three core components:

  1. Transcendent Perception - Xenostics experience reality through an ethereal, esoteric, liminal, otherworldly, metaphysical, parapsychological, supernatural, and/or numinous lens.

  2. Neurodiversity - Being xenostic inherently involves a neurodivergent way of thinking, sensing, and processing the world.

  3. The Trifecta Connection - A xenostic experiences one or more conditions within the trifecta.

Etymology & Meaning:

Derived from “xeno-” (foreign, strange, other) and “-ostic” (rooted in knowing, perceiving, and existing), xenostic represents an identity beyond rigid diagnostic categories - a lived experience defined by the convergence of unique perception, neurodiversity, and complex physiological interplay.

Usage in Context:

“Their worldview is so liminal and nuanced - it’s as if they exist between realms. They’re completely xenostic.”
“Being xenostic isn’t just about medical diagnoses - it’s an entire way of experiencing and interacting with existence.”
“She always felt different, as if she was tapping into something unseen. Learning she was xenostic finally gave her a framework for her reality.”

Who We Are

Xenoneuro Healthcare and Fellowship is a peer-support organization run by individuals who are themselves, xenostic. We are patients and community members, not medical professionals. Our team members personally experience various conditions including xenostic traits, spectrum conditions, the trifecta, and other neurodiverse comorbidities.

Our Services

We provide two primary services:

  1. Community Connection: We facilitate connections between xenostic individuals to create supportive peer networks

  2. Resource Connection and Navigation: We help neurodiverse individuals source medical professionals and services that seek suitable healthcare.  We also offer support regarding how to effectively navigate those relationships (for the benefit of both the efficiency of the care provider and the care received by the patient)
